How to lower a 1973 f250?

Hey y'all!
I'm looking into lowering my 1973 f250 camper special.. I plan on doing a rat rod theme with my truck but I need to get some insight on the easist way to go about lowering the front end as low as possible... My truck has the cross beam style suspension which my make it a little difficult
any help or advise

Because of the twin I Beam suspension, you will have to replace the I Beams. I have seen lowering I Beams either on the net or in a magazine but I can't remember where. As far as I know, this is your only option.

Beams are available from multiple sources. Try airbagit.com or suicidedoors.com.

Flip kit in the rear will get 5-6.

you can always get the front end of a crown victoria from a junk yard and then bolt that in i heard its fairly easy and way cheeper then a mustang 2 front suspention kit.. it should get you 5-6 inches lower.

DJM sells a good beam set, but they'll only get you about 3 inches. If you do a search, there is a guy who has put one on the ground. Can't remember what he did. Seems like he may have done a combo of Crown Vic front end and bags.

So your saying that a crown Vic front end or a mustang II front end will work on my f250? If that will work That may be the route I go because I want it as low as possible

Not the Mustang. What I have read is that the Crown Vic front end is a pretty easy swap. Even better if you can get a Interceptor front end that has all the police goodies on it.

Where did you read this? I would be really interested in dropping mt F150. If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great.

So I checked the price of the Ibeams and wow! Holy price! Anyway, I'm pretty sure I could pick up a crown Vic front end for waaayyyy less.
So with that said, what year of crown Vic would I want as a donar?

I did the DJM Beams. Back when I bought the entire kti front and back, was around $600 buck ( quite awhile ago). If I was to do it again, I wilud strongly consider the Crown Vic front end.
