Hey guys. I'm gettin my dad's ole work truck and it needs some new wheels (well i say needs lol). Its a dark red 2001 f250 ext cab short bed, so i'm thinkin black or black and chrome for it would look good. I'm lookin for 18x9 too. Anyone got any suggestions? I'll probably get the jesse james black widow but i'm tryin to find some not so pricey so i can buy a leveling kit.

The wheels I have on my truck come in 18's and they are relatively cheap. They are incubus poltergeist wheels. Mine are 17" and I think I got mine for around 500 new for all 4.

 

I am really starting to dig the black wheels. I think it would look killer on a red truck. I have a Silver truck with chrome wheel and wish I went with black now. just my .02

i think it doesn't let you do that until you post so many times i think 25 or 50 until you can get a signature (the thing that shows up after your posts).

 

Went with this instead of the usual black. Changed truck order before I ever installed them, so now going with same wheel in silver.

 

What I found was its hard to find decent looking rims for our bolt pattern since it was discontinued in 2004. The design of the rims that are over 17 inches, don't look that great to me. So here are some pictures for you of 17 inch ION Alloys with AMP TERRAIN ATTACK A/T's on them. I get compliments on them all the time. I just wish they were available in 18-20.

Had the same discussion about my wheels. The OEM Heritage Edition wheels were stained beyond cleaning. Decided to go with black powdercoat, what do y'all think?

 

I think that looks pretty good and matches the dark upper part of the truck.

I'm looking for some spare 17" wheels for snow tires right now and I'm finding the 5x135 bolt pattern a lot more limiting these days than when I bought my current wheels 10 years ago.

 

Mine will have Black and Machined Aluminum wheels on it at some point in the future.
