2.3L Duratec fan clutch pulley noise???
I have a 2004 ranger 2.3L and the pulley that is attached to the fan clutch is making a grinding and rattling noise, I removed the belt and fan clutch and I can feel the play in the pulley and it doesnt spin smooth.
My question in short is, how do I fix it?
It looks like the pulley is pressed on. What tool do I use to get it off and where do I get it? Second, what do I do after that. I talked to the parts guys at two different ford dealers and neither of them know what I am talking about. One said he would order the pulley but I don't think the problem is with the pulley.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
