Need a cheap truck? Here's one for you, with many new parts! I drive it almost daily. I just don't need it anymore.
BODY: Bed is in good shape, minor rust in floor. Wheel wells have been bondo'd. Many holes on top from a tonneau cover. Tailgate is rust-free. Cab is OK - floors are solid. The top of the cab has rust just past the drip rails on the inside. Fenders and hood OK.
Drivetrain: 351M/400 runs strong. Did a compression test, 140-150 PSI all around. Great oil pressure. The engine is not original, so it's probably been rebuilt. Carburetor is OK, but is worn (original Motorcraft 2150). Starts right up without issues. New spark plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. C6 auto trans and 9" axle are good. New brakes all around - rotors, pads, calipers, hoses, wheel cylinders, drums, shoes, master cylinder, and power booster. Truck has factory A/C, dual tanks, and cruise. A/C needs recharging but works (blows warm air). Heater core leaks so bypassed it. Cruise unknown, the clip for the chain (to attach to the carb) is missing. New air filter, PCV, crankcase breather, etc.
Located in MD between D.C. and Baltimore. $1500 OBO. Pics are in my gallery. Scroll down to '78 F150'. If no interest, I may part it out.
