After having my truck for two months, the cracked exhaust manifold on the drivers side had to be replaced. It was only bothersome on startup, but the noise was enough to drive me nuts. I went over to Tear a Part on Redwood Road and found a good manifold a few weeks ago.
After buying a gasket at Autozone, I put the replacement on this past weekend. And now, the truck is very quiet, the way I like it. The old manifold broker off in two pieces. No wonder why it was loud.
These trucks are pretty easy to work on, and the truck is now ready to be driven more than a 100 miles a month.
Now I just need to replace the exhaust pipe from the muffler back. Maybe I will even get a good sounding muffler while I am at it. Does anyone know a good muffler shop in the SLC area?
Thanks
Be McMillon
