It seems from the TSBs that the radiators on the 6.4s are the victims of thermostat failures. Perhaps a defective thermostat design, or poor QC on them.

'08 Job 3 here, original Rad no probs, had Venturi put on really early as well. But I agree, there have been allot of radiators replaced. Compared to all the other headaches people have with different vehicles, having the radiator replaced is rather small.

It probably doesn't matter any more but I wonder if we could find a common trait between those who had no failures and those who did. One thing that seems to be showing up is that those who had the T installed correctly at a low mileage seem more likely not to have a radiator fail.

20k on my 08 job3, no rad problems
I have 3 friends all with 08's and no rad problems. I think the radiator problem is significant, but not not nearly as prevalent as it seems in this thread.

I just bought my 08 the first week of june and my rad just started leaking. I will have to wait until after the holiday weekend to see what the dealer will do for me. I did a lot research and asked many people about the 6.4 and nobody mentioned the rad problem. I was supposed to leave for myrtle beach this morning... sucks
