HID's are in!!
All I can say is wow!
here is a comparison of the PIAA 80/100W bulb on the left and the new 6000k 50w HID on the right, also the fog lights are 100W PIAA's there is no comparison.
Here is the comparison of light output in the garage with the lights on, left is the HID right is the PIAA again no comparison the HID's are so so much brighter!
The install was a snap took all of 20 minnutes and i hard wired the ballasts in instead of using the blade connectors to the factory harness.
I just ordered a HID kit for the fog lights as well... cant wait to get those in too...

Not to attack the OP but just remember you don't need all those to drive all the time.
Nothing is more irritating than driving along at night minding your own business and some jerk rounds a corner and shines his high beams + fog lights right in your windshield cause his truck is lifted and yours is stock ride height.
Blinds you and you've got black spots every time you blink for a long while afterwards.
Like I said not attacking the OP just saying that you don't need to have every light on the truck at its brightest all the time.

That's not true. They are being built now so they directly replace the bulbs and project just like stock. I loved mine, but one of the ballasts would blow fuses, and I had to remove them to pass inspection. I'm back to stock, but the HID replacements projected just fine:
I've seen a lot of people post this stuff, and while it may have been true years ago, it's just not the case anymore.

I did a lot of research before installing a set on my truck. The bulb to get is a 4300k.... They produce a WHITE light and not that annoying blue light that those higher output bulbs do (5000k,6000k, etc etc)
I have never had any oncoming vehicles flicker me, requesting i change to my low beams. So, i know they are not blinding anybody.
I run a Dual Bi/Xenon set so i have low beam and high beam. Most Hid sets out there only have a low beam.
You have to see the light output that is produced with the high/low beam mod. (both low and high on at the same time) Just amazing ........ the only time i get to use my high beams is when i go offroad, or am driving in a really desolate road and really need all that light. It's just too much for city or highway, and blinding. So it is rarely used... but good to have.

I drive in country at night sometimes, I want as much light as I can get without using an "off-road" set-up.
