Hey Griff

Hey Griff

Boy I like those big trucks. Wish i had space for one. Of course I don't have the money or muscle either. It looks even "heavier" than my half tons lol. I'm older and money and weight have both become more of an issue than in my youth of truck building.

Anyway good to see your truck. So you're a Griff. Is that for Griffin?

Its my middle name. Its an old Scottish? family name that many of us in my family continue. My dad and grandfather were also Griffins.

Goodluck with the truck.

Tom

Tom,Griff is short for Griffin, it claims Irish back to around the 1172 when Wales helped the Normans invade Ireland, the Welch nobles were given land for payment. The Griffin name originates from Wales but I and my ancesters all claim Irish. The truck is a 2 ton with a 2 speed rear with dump body it's an old grain truck

That appear to be a nice solid truck. It does not seem to have a lot of work as it already looks good.

name ancestry

Hey Griff

Interesting info on the Griffin name. Sounds like you're up on it. My last name is Ewing--supposedly a Scottish? name--at least I've always been told--Im sure your right on with the Griffin Irish ancestry. We - the Ewings--are supposedly Scot/Irish--whatever that is. So I guess I have a name from each.

Good luck with the truck. I'm getting some coffee at the local Peete's coffee shop in Napa, ca, and I'm using my wifi notebook, because i broke the phone company's phone line at home--They're punishing me by taking a week to come out and check their end of the line etc.

I'm on my way over to check out a big truck COE 1952? era? for someone here on the site that's looking for something "big".

Goodluck Tom
