Camping GTG
I know it is a little early to think about camping but at the GTG out here it was metioned about trying to get a MN camping GTG going for this summer. Summers seem to fill up so fast that I thought I would start this and see how much interest we had. Maybe get a few suggestions on weekends and campgrounds to go to. I know Tom(mndiesel) had mentioned one by Clearwater. If we could get enough together we could do some calling and see about reservations. So let er rip and lets see what we can get going!!

I am in for May, maybe the first one can be central MN in Clearwater (by St Cloud). Then we can venture around the state. Great Thread Troy thank for thinking ahead.....

Tom called Troy a thinking head...haha....haha
That sounds really good to me. I will have to check with the Mrs. I know we have a couple set up already. Never too early to think about camping in my book.

May can be a tricky month. Just need to find a place open. We have plans Memorial weekend already. I think AJ Acres in Clearwater opens around the middle of May usually. That is a decent place from what I remember.

I talked to my brother and he stayed at AJ Acres in Clearwater and he said it was a good place to camp. I tried calling them today to see when they opened and nobody answered so I will try tomorrow or I will email them. We have plans for Memorial weekend already too I think.

Is AJ's the Sams club campground(the old KOA) . If it is I am a member and I can make all the reservations and get a discount for everyone.... Just a thought

No its not the same one Tom. The old KOA is on the north side of I-94 and AJ's is on the south side. I have not been to AJ's for a few years now but it is pretty big and spread out. I am open to either.

I am open to either one also. Hopefully we can get a few more to chime in and want to go. If not I am sure we can still get into a little trouble!
