1964 f100 Brakes

Hi I have a 64 F100 that I would like to install disc brakes. Anyone know what vehicles I can use as donors for the parts?

There is a good write up in the Articles/Specs section. A member did discs on his 64 and made it a tech article. Installation of Manual or Power Brakes Disc Brakes in a 1957 - 1964 F100 .: Articles

Anyone here used these? Do they seem to be of good quality?
I was awaiting on paying off my credit card then was going to buy the ECI kit, which is nearly twice the price. The old adage you get what you pay for has proven true for me. I like having good brakes and would love discs.

I would guess the other way around. The guy I talked to at ECI said the brackets were made in house. Everything else was off the shelf. I kinda want to know someones opinion on this kit. I have heard pleanty of good about the ECI one but am currious to the quality of this kit which is a $180 bucks less.

Same GM sourced calipers, pins, ford aftermarket hub rotor and probable china bearings and the bracket is jobbered in China as are most of speedways parts. All are common parts with the exception of the bracket.

The bracket is basically identical between the two with speedways being cadmium plated.

Speedway orders thousands of brackets at a time and buys thousands of calipers, ect. It is how he became the largest supplier and can offer it at a lot lower cost.

Chinese bearings and brackets sound scarry. I'm looking too for front discs and the price is right, but almost everything I have bought from that country has been junk. My early truck has Wilwood front discs and hubs which are super, but cant pay their price again.

Congrats on post #1000 fllipklos.

Thanks 46Y, I hit a grand. Now my wife can prove that my truck is my life, and that I have no life!

I am realy intrested in this product but would like a user testimonial first. Someone saying they got 30k miles on a set of these with no probloms is what I want to hear.

I know that ECI sells the brackets by themselves. I can put the rest together at my local parts house for about the same as an ECI kit and have the parts I want specificly.

I hope to hear from one of yall about using that speedway kit.
