9007 Bi-Xenon Philips Dual HID Conversion Kit 6000K

I had a local shop install 9007 Bi-Xenon Philips Dual HID Conversion Kit 6000K and when the low beam swich is on, the lights are on high beam and vise versa. The only instructions are to switch a couple of wires around in one of the harness connections. Doing this then causes the driver side NOT to switch and the passenger side still goes from high to low instead of low to high.

The eBay vendor has replaced the relay harness for me but we still have the same issue. 1997 Ford F150 XLT.

Has anyone been able to get technical support directly from PhillipsXenon? Or any other suggestions?

there are three wires that plug into your factory headlight connector. the middle is ground, and the other two are power for high and low beams. switch the two wires around and it should work properly.

Your suggestion is the same as I posted in original thread. This is the same instruction from others but is not working for me.

i had the same problem with my bi-xenon lights. seemed like one was high beam and one was low. i eventually got rid of them and got single beam. im pretty sure the bulbs only go in one way too...maybe you can try to get your money back and get a new set?

The folks selling on eBay have agreed to refund my purchase. Phillips Consumer Lighting said they DO NOT MAKE, SELL, SUPPORT or RECOMMEND HID aftermarket conversion kits. They only sell the bulbs for OEM replacements.

From this experience I have learned that Xenon HID bulbs certainly provide a great beam and I hate to give up. Just need to do more homework.

My solution is to switch back to halogens, HIDs are more trouble than they are worth, are illegal to boot, unsafe to you and to others on the road. A better solution would have been to upgrade the wiring to support a better halogen.
