6.2L ORDERS DELAYED YET AGAIN

"2010 F-150 Raptor 6.2 L Engine Update 10:30 AM

The launch of the 6.2 L engine (996) on the F-150 Raptor has been changed to 3/1/2010

6.2 L Raptor scheduling will begin in scheduling week #6, 2/11/10

The remaining Raptor allocation for February scheduling (weeks#3-#5) will be filled with 5.4L Engine Raptor orders"

This is the memo my dealer e-mailed me regarding ordering a Raptor with the 6.2L engine. He said the SVT team are working/testing transmission problems as a result of this engine.

Yeah that sucks, although it would suck worse if they shipped them and they had tranny problems.

It does suck. But, better to find the issues now instead of after delivery. And, when the 6.2L makes to the rest of the F-150 fleet, Ford doesn't need these headaches and subsequent recalls and warranty claims.

I say, good job Ford for identifying this problem before hand.
