? about 51-52 grills

Hey guys im new to this forum and am wanted to add a couple of "teeth" the the grill on my 52'. I have read some where how exactly to do this and can not find it anymore. If anyone can help that would be great. I checked around for this in another thread, hope im not asking a repeat question.

The big deal is simply knowing that all the teeth are different, left, right, and center. So when you add some in between, you need to be sure you have lefts and rights.

Welcome

Having a senior moment (getting more common) but I think you can’t use the search feature (such as it is?) until you have 25 posts?

Go to Google and try different searches for teeth grille etc with this forum as the location.

Here are a couple of links and yes the question has been asked before.

Hi and Welcome to FTE

Check out the link Old F1 posted. It's probably the best one.

It's really not to hard. You just buy another left one and another right one, and center them between the existing three that you have now.

I prefered to cut the bottoms of mine off to sit flat on top of the lower valance instead of cutting two more holes in the valance. That way you can go back to original if you like.

We still have snow but the pavement is clear and what's left is frozen solid. I just can't pass up a chance to give you design challenged guys a hard time.

Teeth are different?

That's interesting. Wayne's information came as a surprise. As a newbie with limited experience from a long time ago, I would not have guessed that the left, right, and center grill teeth on the '51 and '52 models are actually different.

The buck tooth photo touch up is interesting. Perhaps a rerun of the monkey faces would be interesting for those of us who are new to the list, Julie. You do seem to have an extensive library of information to share!

The center bar on the 51/52 grille is curved slightly so in order for the bullets to sit in line front to back, the opening on one side is large on the inside edges of the two outer bullets. Center bullet, the openings are the same size - thus all three are different.

And WRT 48-50 grilles, here is the link to the last time we had this discussion - pretty funny.

And of course pictures:
