TC linkage issue

Found the linkage and tried to re-connect it. The plastic bushing clip on the shifter is broken and doesn't completely secure the linkage to the shifter. Where can I find a new one?

Junkyard?

Usually a good place to go first. Its cheap, if not free for something that small, and plenty of them have Fords.

Couldn't say where to buy new.

It's cold and snow on the ground...I'm too much of a wimp to lay on the snow covered ground to pick them off right now. My back couldn't handle it.

If my lathe wasn't in a garage in Ohio, I'd grab a piece of stock and spin two new pieces up for it.

Not sure exactly which clip you're referring to, but bronco grave yard has those clips that hold the transmission shift linkage together. You could also try the help section in autozone/advanceauto - one of those types of places.

I was actually looking for the retaining bushing (clips??) that connects the linkage bar from the TC to the shifter.

I found a set in Cali and they are being shipped up to me via the stealership @ $10.96 each.
