Recent Junkyard Scores.

Over the last month,i've been collecting parts for the F100,well,for the interior mainly. Some parts have come from the junkyard, others from friends. Here's a description of what i've collected so far.The first bit is a tad long, but it's a cool story.

The most major was the new interior.A couple years back,a friend bought an 82 F250 that was ugly as sin.It had 8th gen body panels swapped on,apparently because a tree had fallen on the truck. It was basically a mud truck. But when I opened the door,it had the most beautiful Black Interior I had ever seen. From that day on,I wanted a black interior for the F100Anyways,fast forward to early this year.I found out from a friend that the truck had been sold to another buddy of mine, who was gonna take the axles and scrap the rest of the truck.I told everyone I knew to tell the kid to call me up.Well, the kid calls me up and says 20 bucks and you can have anything you want, except for the door panels because they're already sold.I agreed, and the next day I went out and took everything out of the interior of the truck, and I mean everything. The only thing I left was the seat, because it was worse than mine.I drove home that night the happiest man in the world. Now,for the part y'all wanna see, pics.

Here's the truck I got the interior out of,What it used to look like, and what it looked like when I got the interior.

The interior when it was near mint. The seat shown here disappeared,as it wasn't in the truck when I pulled the interior.

This is what it looked like before it was sold.

Anyways, enough truck pics, here's what the interior looked like after I pulled it all out.It was all muddy, but it still cleaned up pretty good.

Now for everything else i've gotten:

This pic shows the various emblems I collected, and a stray red metal center cap that was in a Bronco.I also got the door panel moldings on this trip, but I guess I didn't get a pic of them. The two best Lariat emblems will go on the truck.

Here is one of the door panel moldings on the truck..

And this last pic shows the Woodgrain Door Panel trim,as well as the amber marker lights, extra tach and temp gauge, and the 85 Electronic Radio I got from a buddy.

Overall,I have less than 50 bucks spent to get my interior to what it is now.And all of this has come in the last month. All I need now is some black carpet and a headliner, and the interior will be complete to exactly what I want it to be.Thanks for reading.

I've got a similar collection of parts in my garage but I haven't really taken an inventory
recently, it's stuff I've accumulated the past 3-4 years of junkyard trips (kinda like you).
I sent some stuff to a guy in the UK (J1MMY)) as well as a guy in Utah (forget his nick).
I think I'm gonna ask Doug in Texas to look for a bed for me.

Today's score got me a good condition XLT padded steering wheel from a van with woodgrain center piece, although i'm not sure if i'll use it since it has the cruise buttons on it.I also picked up a near mint 82-86 Chrome grille. All for 20 bucks. It was raining hard today,so I wasn't there too long,or else I woulda grabbed more stuff. Pics to come later.
