changed clutch master cyl now its hard to shift???

thanks to you guys I figured out how to change the cylinder pretty darn easy except getting that roll pin out, anyway, I changed it , had a hell of the time bleeding the system, got it blead, but its a little harder to shift that it should be , I fell like the pedal is a little softer , could this be still more air, whats the best way? I had someone pump the break hold it, while I cracked up the line, then let the clutch back out and closed it. let me know guys

Pump the pedal a dozen times then hold it down.
Crack open the bleeder valve, the clutch pedal will drop towards the
firewall and some brake fluid will squirt out.
Keep the pedal pressed and close the bleeder.

Release the clutch pedal and pump it a dozen times again.
You may have to manually pull up on the clutch pedal.
Keep doing the above until you get a stream of fluid with no air.

Make sure you keep the clutch master cylinder topped off with brake fluid.

With two people, shouldn't take more than 10 minutes.

Any air in the line/slave cylinder will cause a soft pedal because you're compressing the air.

The clutch will not fully release so it will cause hard shifting.

Was the new push rod you installed the same length as the original?

just want to throw out there that you might want to do it until you get a couple streams of brake fluid in a row. when i bled my clutch a couple weeks ago i got a good stream of brake fluid, decided to do it again for good measure and then got air the next couple times. so before i quit i waited til i got a good stream of brake fluid 3 times.

not necessary, but since you're already dirty you might as well make sure everything is good to go.
