With all this talk of get togethers and meets. Are any of you guys out west interested in a GTG?
I got a PM recently from someone west of Nashville that is interested in a meet. It would be nice if we have enough for a meet out there. I bet some of the mid state boys would come too.
Lets talk about it here. Talk about suggestions when and where etc. and all that stuff.
Is there somewhere in Jackson that could be a happy median? Maybe Parkers Crossroads? Natchez Trace?

Now that you mention it, Shane [slammedi'am] and I were talking about "Jack and Back" that we both attended last year. It's a great place to go do the tour and go over to the square and grab lunch.
I tried to make that the last time that there was a Jack meeting, but Alicia had to work that day so guess who played cab driver. If there is another one out that way, I wouldn't mind trying to do that again. I still haven't been there since came I moved out here.
i reckon it would all depend on where ya'll wanted to meet. but there is the option of reelfoot lake and going to eat at lakeview or boyette's. i know at lakeview you can get what they call the mixed dinners for roughly ~$15 a head and you have a choice of things like catfish, country ham, chicken, etc. you definitely get your money's worth cause thats the all you can eat price if i'm not mistaken and its pretty doggone good. and there's lots of little piers and playgrounds for the youngins. some pretty good crappie and catfishing places on the lake also. just my .02

That sounds like an awesome place to me. I love that kind of food. If I come there I may not go home. LOL
How do you guys out west feel about this?
I am not going to make the decision where it will be out west unless you need me to. I would rather one of you step up and say "this is the best place, lets have it here" and if there is no strong oposition that's where it will be.
Personally I would think somewhere near Jackson would be good if Mid and West want to get together but like I said I want one of you to step up and say so. I don't think it would be fair to you for me to make the decision, unless that is what you want.
What about Montgomery Bell State Park? Not "west enough, maybe? (I know I'm not a resident of West TN, but I was BORN at Millington Naval Air Station.)
I have some land in Dickson. Burn some wood, cooler of beer a couple of dancers.... well maybe not the dancers(old lady might object). We could stoke up a big old fire and get roudy. I've got 43 acres and a big old open field. I'd wait til some of this snow melted though.
