Coupons
If you get those maintenance coupons from your dealer occasionally, use them. I got one 3 weeks ago for a 15,000 mile oil change and fuel filter change. Total cost was $136.00 on my bill.
After hearing about the cost of fuel filters and $77 per hour labor, I think I got a good deal for both changes.

I have a 2008 6.4L & crew cab, long bed. It was kinda interesting to see the smile on their faces disappear (the non verbal communication kind) when I handed them the coupon. But what really surprised them was when I handed the service manager a box of a dozen donuts for her and the guys, besides the coupon. She said no customer ever did that for them.
She told me if I hadn't had the coupon the bill would have been $148 higher. I told her to make sure she sends another coupon when its due again.

when you sign in and register your maintenance at https://myford.fordvehicles.com/serv.../Page/HomePage you will see these service coupons for oil changes and road trip services but most dealers charge more for diesels. Glad you got a dealer who doesnt do that. In fact, this link http://www.flmowner.com/servlet/Cont...ouponPrintPage takes you to one right now for brakes.
