Navigator/Expedition Steering Wheel Swap
That's awesome. I know this is an older post, but this is exactly what I need to do on my 2000 Expedition XLT. Does the Navigator steering wheel need to be the same model year, anything else I need to know? Is there a link for the wiring diagrams you could share, or possibly email to me at lees40@hotmail.com? Any help you can provide is most appreciated.
I just did this swap on my 2000 EB - if you still need info let me know. You absolutely have to replace the clock spring to get the controls to work. Also need to add a wire to the EATC to get climate controls to work. Didn't take long, just needed to know what to do.

BTW, I am doing a whole innovation for dash/radio/climate control now.
I do both hardware and software. Basically, I use LCD touch screen for everything, like Chevy/Dodge commercials.Which will be either a Windows CE/ Linux system if you know what I am talking about.
I just don't know how many people will want to buy these. If everything goes well, It may be commercially available in 6 month for the dashboard with built in all exist function and GPS maybe bluetooth. I may mess the dash up with radio.
