I'd rather have gay sex than to buy a FWD car with a TRANSVESTITE engine for more than $1 in good working condition.

Why do you have such hatred for wheel chocks? They are essential if you don't want the vehicle to roll back.

i get looks all the time, but i dont really care. the best one was a guy in a green prius in the middle of a snow storm that cut me off in a parking lot. when we got to the main road it was up hill and he could not get going. so i passed right on by him with a wave and a smile

I know I don't own a X but I hope one day add one to my driveway.

In my neighborhood A LOT of people drive Prius's and during the last snow storm that we had the next day when people tried to get to work they got stuck in their own street. Thankfully I wasn't working that day so I spent the morning hauling Toyota's on the main road and made a decent amount of cash to my bank to pay for school.

These are the same people that scoff at me in my truck and my father in his Mercedes Diesel 350SDL for being "environmentally irresponsible".

Oh the irony.

I hate them. Especially when Im at the gas station and one of thier owners sees me fueling up and gives me a creepy smile. One time this guy explained why his was so awesome and my SD was going to cause the world to end. So I told him that a Prius was the worst thing that Toyota came out with since the new Tundra and told him that I would tie my truck to my body and pull it around myself before I would even ride in that death trap. Then he called me some bad names and sped off (I think couldnt really tell.)

All it takes is one accident in a Prius and the owners of those cars will quickly change there minds! Driving is a dangerous activity and all the more when your driving around in those little unsafe pieces of crap! So is saving money on gasoline worth your life when you get t-boned by an F-350? Oh, I saved 1000 dollars on gas and I slowed down global warming (which by the way doesn't exist) and now I'm dead! That's what I think of the Prius! I would never place my loved ones into a car like that!

The prius.

I knew things were going wrong when I got a Autobody trade book the other day and it had a Hybrid safety kit, complete with a hood to attempt to save the mechanic if he is being shocked to death. Looks kinda like the hook Hotels use at their pools.

Point #2 wait until these go out of their warrentys and they have to pay to have electrical work done on them. It will make a Mercedes service shop look like a wal mart bargain.

Once I wear out this Prius I'll probably get a VW diesel for the GF

The great piece of tech is the way the gas engine shuts down when u r at a stoplight or in heavy traffic.

I'd love to see the auto shut off & self start on lots more cars

Global warming is a giant pile of socialist BS but gas is already close to $3 a gallon here and I suspect we'll see $5 again by Dec

In the city, it is great. Not sure about in the open road driving.

Why? What will the starters cost?

That is true

I have heard that scare many times over even for 2009 where it was going to be $7 but that is all it seems to be.

It's not the prius to hate it issome of the drivers of them that your anger should be directed at.... kinda like guns don't kill people, People do... Nothing wrong with guns, its all about who is using it that creates the problem

I would give props to the Toyota Corolla and Nissan Sentra... totally uninspiring but super reliable, great on gas and reasonably priced.. I'd take either one over a prius...

Have a New Beetle, 130000 mi. very dependable and gets around 48 mpg on the highway. Set the Cruise and it goes... Did have to have the trans rebuilt though, they have a plastic bearing retainer in there! Figure the Germans would know better. Anyway still prefer the Beast on long trips, much more comfortable.
