Tail lights stay on

1994 F-150 the tail lights remain on -after the lights are turned off and the truck is turned off.I have replaced the brake switch- nada no change- checked all of the fuses- nope.At this time when I park I pull the fuse which does shut off the lights- and then put it back in when I start back up.

So is it the tail lights or the brake lights? If it is just tail lights it could be that the switch or the connector to the switch is messed up allowing power to pass through it. On my 88 my headlight switch connection was so bad the headlights, tail lights, and front corner lights could all come on with NO FUSE. Yea that was fun - soldered in a new connector from Ford and fixed it. Good luck!

Yes, knowing WHAT lights stay on would be a big help, tail lights and brake lights are completely seperate..

One thing I can think of is: If you have a trailer connector with aux power (battery charge to camper) to the trailer it could be a wiring problem where it ties into the truck or in the connector..

You would be amazed at the problems a sloppy wiring job can cause...

Sounds like you're talking about your brake lights staying on. I just went through that myself. Turned out to be melted wires underneath the dash, and had to replace the turn signal/wiper switch.
