hey guys/gals just wanted to say hello and i'll be surfin around here. this is a good site and born and raised with ford trucks and cars. ive owned lots of ford trucks and my dd is a 77' f150 4x4 that has been through hell and back and still runnin strong lots of mods done/to do and lovin every minute of it!!! also building a 77' f150 drag truck with a 460 and 150 shot of nitrous for this coming season will probably post a build thread when i get some other projects outta the way(4x4's,dirtbikes and choppers). anyhow kickin it over on the island and saving as much old iron as i can between me and fellow ford friends. So rubberside down and hold it to the floor!!!

For sure, i just gotta remember where or who i was talking to recently cause there was one around here for $1000 and it was pretty mint. i like more power than the 6 puts out so i let it pass, but i'll try to dig somethin up for ya anyhow.

Thanks Zip... those prices seem to be quite high... also, not much info (on the engines) for several of the trucks. I have a running 76 F250 2X4 which I am told is worth absolutely nothing... so I would think a 4X4 version would be worth maybe $500-1000. A really nice Highboy, perhaps $1500-2000 max. Guess I'm doomed to buy something smaller and much less 'manly'.

Thanks Nutty! It's funny how things go, but if you could remember who/where you saw the truck, I'd appreciate it. My 76 F250 with the 460 is way too powerful for my needs (it gets maybe 4-5 mpg). The "big" six with a 4 spd would be ideal for me.
Cheers and thanks again.

It's a low miles Camper Special (460/C6) that I got for $100. She's very rusty - floorboards gone and driver's side cab mount non-existant.
I've driven her exactly 250 kilometers in 2 years. The problem is that the gravel/muddy roads are sometimes not passable with rear drive only, so I need a 4X4.
I don't want to highjack this thread anymore!
