wheres the scanner plug in
I have an 1989 ford f-250 with a 7.3 desiel non turbo and i cant find the plug to plug the scanner into. I thought they where on the drivers side by the column but i cant seem to find it.

What transmission do you have? If it is not an E4OD then you won`t have a diagnostic port at all.

Yep, you are close but you need to be on the engine side of the firewall. Mine is actually closer to the driver side hood hinge area

mine on my truck and on my car is right under the drivers side hood hinge. a half hexagonal shape plug and a single wire plug

If it's got a C6 it doens't have any scanner plug in. Has no computer for engine and no computer for transmission.
