New clutch three years ago.
New brakes, drums, rotors, lines, shoes and pads.
LED conversion of all the lights.
Rear of the truck is already rewired.

Snow plow bracket also modified, only fits up to 86 frame.
Snow plow, just rebuilt two weeks ago.

The only thing left is the cab and fenders, plus the bumper the talented driver backed into and some paint.

I like that body style and I have way to much work in it, way to many miles inside it and way to many tons of materials moved with it to think about parting ways over some rusty fenders.

But it is very hard to do body work on something you drive every day.....
No, given what I need to tackle, it is impossible to do body work on a vehicle you drive every day.

I am just going to suffer and go pick this up in the morning.

Should get me back and forth to work this summer.

ahh ok.well that's nothing serious.
yeah,mine needs fenders too.
the floor board on the drivers side is getting soft? is it just in that one spot?
it sounded more like she was getting tender everywhere.doors/floor boards etc.

hey, pick me up one of those just like it too would ya? lol.

After nearly three years, this thread is probably not relevant any more... unless John's projects move REALLY slowly!

I'm glad to see this subject pop up... I'm going to have to remove my bed to fix a leaking fuel tank, and since I have a ton of leftover treated Douglas Fir from a job we did years ago that has been gathering dust since then, I was considering the idea of not putting the stock bed back, building an old school farm-style wooden bed instead.

(Mostly because I think it'd look cool, although I'm not so sure any more... if anyone has pics of 80-98 Fords with wooden beds, it would be really nice to see them while I ponder the idea!)

my F250 has a flatbed with a steel frame and a rotten wood deck, but much better than the stock bed that was rusted through the floor and into the fuel tank. overall, it wasn't too bad to make, and is very practical.
but as said above, this thread had been dead for a couple years...
