I got one on my 2002 V10 and really would not throw my money that way again. I never noticed anything different. I would guess if you add it with a cold air and a high flow muffler then you may see something happen. just my thoughts

If you think about how a fuel injected engine works, there is no way that a spacer will help.

They do make nice shiny paperweights.

They will work much better on a TBI or Carburetion setup. Think about it, in the V10 the fuel injectors and the throttle body are well over 12" apart.

Would like to see a before and after dyno, never found one.

It did add some nice flash to the V10, a nice little slice of red mixed in with the dirty gray. lol

Bought my 04 F350 from a friend, And he had just put one on this truck about a week before I bought it. He also had a Hypertech Max Energy Programmer installed at the same time, so I cant say how much if any improvement it made, he said it was noticable, all I know is it has a pretty cool sound just before it shifts when your on it hard. Personally I would not have bought it, the K N cold air intake, SPD y-pipe and flowmaster, seem to work well together on my truck.

The max energy has been on it since I bought the truck, and he had programmed it for firmer shifts and raised the rev limiter. I have left it alone. But my brother in law has a 2001 F350 CC also, the only mod on his is the Y pipe, we have never raced but we both agree mine seems to have alot more snap, it just feels like my truck wieghs 1000 pounds lighter. If i were to buy a programmer, after all I have read on this site I would have to buy from Five Star, I would really like to see/feel how much differance there is between the 2 brands of tuners. I am thinking Five Star would be night and day over Hypertech just from what I have read, but for a big truck everyone that drives or rides in mine cant believe how well it moves out. Hard to keep off the loud peddle.

ok thanks. Also im thinking about putting true dual exhaust on my v-10. Starting from the stock cats and going with just 2.5" pipe all the way to the back with tips. Do you think it will hurt my v-10 motor????I did thise to my 2005 f-250 5.4l it was loud and sounded nice, but I don't think it hurt that motor..What do you think..

True duals is a waste. If you put on a real true duals the exhaust pipe lengths will be be very uneven from bank to bank because you have to route both pipes down the same side to avoid the gas tank. The V10 will not sound like a V8 either and no muffler will produce drone. The drone the V10 produces can drive you nuts, I know from experience. Best off just replacing the stock muffler or putting on a proven catback exhaust but be just be aware the V10 will not sound like your old 5.4l. Will you hurt the motor with true duals, No. Will you hurt performance with the true duals, Probably. Even a good catback doesn't do much for performance.

Thanks. So I would be better off taking off the stock muff. and putting a flow master on ???? I dont feel like paying $600-$800 for a stainless steel flow master system.can I just replace the stock muff. with a performance muff. and leave the rest of the stock pipe on???? what ya think???

Here are my two exhaust threads where I installed FM Force II Catback kits. One on my 04' and the other on my dads 03'.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/7...-fm70-mod.html
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...tback-2-a.html

I would suggest an FM50 HD or FM50 SUV muffler to replace the stock one if you want a louder sound. Just cut out the stock muffler, put on the new muffler and fill in any gap with a piece of 3" exhuast pipe. The 50HD is louder than the SUV but both mufflers still have some capacity to help with the drone. I saw from some of your other posts that you want your exhaust loud. I used to have loud exhaust on my V10 (my dad did too) but got tired of it. Your best off keeping the V10 mild in the sound department. Your much better spending the money on a set of headers from Doug Thorley or Banks to get rid of the awful stock manifolds and y-pipe setup.

Talking

Aluminized Flowmaster 3" single cat back with FM70 costs $300.

Get this, Y-pipe fix and good air intake, you will see/feel noticable difference. Should get 1 MPG more also.
