Or this:

Amazon.com: NOCO Genius GCP1 Black 13 Amp 125V AC Port Plug: Automotive Amazon.com: NOCO Genius GCP1 Black 13 Amp 125V AC Port Plug: Automotive

13amps x 110v is 1430w max, they also make 15amp version.

On a side note, my block heater cord is in a conduit mounted do driver's side frame. Is that standard or custom job?

After reading 2 stories this winter of different FTE trucks catching on fire I'm thinking it's time to change that cable.

When you say conduit what exactly do you mean? Mine is wrapped in the corrugated plastic stuff and I think it is factory.

Metal pipe on the inside of the wheel well underneath the frame. I really like that mounting spot above but don't have that skirt on my truck. Is that 2004+ stuff or what?

I replaced my cord with an OEM Ford one, both the replacement and one I took off had the conduit.

The OEM is pricy, but fits perfect and has all of the mounting tabs, clips and sheathing.

Something tells me that the OP from 5 years ago isn't really worried about this anymore.
