I really want to replace my rear view mirror with one that displays temp and compass. My vehicle is the 2005 Ford F-250
I came across the Gentex 30 and the 31. There is a price difference between the 2 but the only difference seems to state that the wiring harness on the 30 which is more expensive is higher grade and quality over the 31 which says its factory standard. Plus somewhere I read the 30 was easier install for a person who does not have alot of electrical exp.
Thoughts from anyone on the 2 mirrors. Are the harness's really that different from each other. I cant seem to find a good picture of them.

I haven't looked at gentex since the differences were Autodim only, Autodim and Compass, or Autodim, Compass and Thermometer. In any case they were all really easy, Power, ground, switched power, and the thermometer wires. Tuck them under the head liner, down the inside of the a-pillar trim and under the dash.
