I have the 7.3L excursion out here in (almost) Sunny Las Vegas for a trade show. Dad drove it out and I flew to meet getting in yesterday. Doing a daylight walkaround on the tandem axle 6.5 x 8 x 20' enclosed trailer the rear axle is chewing both tires on both sides . Its almost like the axle is out of line but I would expect it to only be eating one side of the tire if it is actually toe in/ canted axle. I just got the trailer 3 months ago in KY. Its been to sherman texas, back to SE Iowa, to San Antonio and back from Iowa, and now out to Las Vegas. Grand total of about 6k miles and the rear tires probably won't make it back to Iowa safely. The tires don't appear underinflated, don't appear noticeably out of line, and I think they were not noticeably roasted leaving Iowa.

The excursion towing report - did not even feel it was back there, ran as well as expected but I still have that annoying highway speed vibration that started a few months ago. I suppose it could be low fuel pressure on the end of the injector rail or could be injectors getting weak. Feels like it could be missing on one cylinder, but not terribly. It improved slightly going back to an IH black cps for a 1997 truck.


Bottom line I am looking for a reputable shop in the Las Vegas Area or possibly flagstaff arizona for on the way back. Anybody have recomendations?
