Does anyone know of anywhere in eastern to mid North Carolina that I might be able to find the center section for a 9 inch with 31 splines and a gear like 350 or 370? Ive searched and called all the local junkyards. I saw some at the carolina collector auto fest in raleigh but I was thinking that I could just find one at the junkyard. Also, I would like to find something with detroit locker or any trac lock.

You will probably never find anything with the detriot locker or traction lock at a junkyard. Usually if anything like that comes into a junkyard the dismantlers or owners snatch it up for there vehicles. You shouldn't have a hard time finding a carrier at a junkyard but you will probably have to go a pull it yourself yard. Then your chances of finding what you want are a little better but since everybody is hunting them down for there race cars it sometimes seems hard to find them. You might have to find a stock carrier and fork up some dough for a good locker.
Don't give up the search if you look hard enough sometimes you can find what you are looking for.
