For anyone using the forward engine perch holes...

When i swapped in my 351m, i had to move my engine perches to the forwardmost holes toward the fornt of my truck. If anyone has done something like this, what upper and lower radiator hoses did you use? I'm having a hard time finding some that will fit and have tried "modifying" some also.

Thanks,
Shawn

I'm running a 351M against a 390 radiator in a '72. The reason for the 390 radiator is that it was a stock radiator for that year body. It seems to me I have the stock upper hose for a 390, and for the bottom I had to find a hose that was "L" shaped and so it would come straight out from the radiator turn 90 degrees and go straight up into the water pump. I hope this helps.

What size engine was in your truck before? I took out my 390 and droped in a 302. I kept the big 3 core rad for obivious reasons. I'm sorry, but I can't remember what I used for the hoses.
Good luck

It was a 351 cleveland. I used the 351m's engine mounts from a 79 Bronco.

It's never finished. You could get some of those fex-hoses and cut/bend yours to fit. Summit and Jegs have them in their catalogs.

Where is Summit and Jegs? I am always looking for hard to find Ford Trucks parts since I am restoring a 1965 F-250 from the bottom up.

Thanks
John Thomas

John, Summit Racing 800-230-3030, summitracing.com, I dont have anything on Jegs, and would suggest Carolina Classics 800-598-4211. Those guys only do Ford trucks 48-79
You will not find a lot of stuff for a 65 at the other places. I have 66s, I know.

hope that this helps

John
