Turbo Muffler "break in" period

How long "on average" does it take until a turbo muffler with fiberglass breaks in to where it will sound as intended for the majority of its lifespan. I recently installed one on my truck and havent driven it alot but it has been getting a little louder every week. I assumed when I took it on a 4hr roadtrip it would reach operating temp and reach its sweet spot by then, but appears not to be the case.

PS I know they slowly get louder as they get older, but in my experience they usually stick to a certain db & tone for a couple years before the fiberglass starts disintigrating & guts burn out.

Took about 5K for the Magnaflow to really break in on the Escape. Give or take.

A really good muffler does not break in at all.
