Opinion on truck seats

I have a 2006 Dodge MegaCab CTD. I love the truck and the pre-smog CTD, but I often drive it for 10-12 hours in a day. I have begun to notice that I am stiff and achy after these long drives and initially chalked it up to getting older.

But I just completed 17 hours in 2 days in my 97 Expy XLT. Not stiff and achy at all. Felt fresh as a daisy, ready for another 17 hours.

Has anyone else had this experience with the Dodge seats or is it just me and the way that I am shaped? I have the top-of-the-line buckets with center console (a $900 option).

Are the 2009/10 Dodge seats really that much better?

Used to post from work. Had what some would consider an ideal job, work of 3-4 hours, get paid for 8. Spent the rest of my time on the internet.

Sold out my stock options and quit that job. Now I am a small (very small) independent business owner. Not quite as much time to post. But much more time to have fun.

Can't comment on the Doges because I have no seat time in the Dodges you have. Will say seat comfort varies from vehcle to vehicle and person to person. Back when I bought my 04' SD I was looking at 04' F-150s too. I absolutely hated the seats in that F-150 and could sit much better in the SDs. I've even noticed seat foam differences in exact same SD trucks only difference being one model year apart. My dads 03' has much softer seat foam than my 04'.

Just went from my 5th Dodge to a new F250. The seats in the Ford are more comfortable on a long trip than my Dodges were. Better support where it needs to be. And, I didn't have to buy the top trim level mega bucks model to get power driver and passenger seats with adjustable lumbar. Dodge requires the Laramie trim level and they're still not all that comfortable. Just my opinion on them. I don't care at all for the headrests in the new F150 and it sounds like they'll be in the 2011 SD as well. What are they thinking?

dodge seats are garbage. Your best bet is to get some aftermarket seats.

Have not done an exhaustive search, but have not found any for a 2006.

Anyone know of aftermarket seats for a 2006?

A buddy of mine was talking about getting mastercraft seats for his '04 ram 2500.
