Where is the blower motor resistor?

I have a 2008 F150 5.4. The heater is only working on high so I assume it it the blower motor resistor. Does anyone know where it is located on a 2008. And what would make one go bad so soon? My truck only has 13000 miles on it.

Thanks,

Bob

Behind the glove box towards the driver's side.. If it's under warranty, have the dealer troubleshoot the problem and change the resistor pack. Try doing a search on blower motor resistor, or fan only runs on high speed.

Found it thanks. If it was a cheap part for like 5 bucks, I would have changed it myself instead of waiting at the dealer for hours. But I see that it is not avilable at a local parts store and you have to get it from the dealer for 30 bucks. So I will drop her off at the dealer and use the warrenty. I hate having someone else touch my truck.

I'd rather spend $30 than leave my truck at the dealership.

Thanks for all the advice. I really only want to use the warranty for a motor or transmission replacement. If it is something I can do, I would rather do it my self. I hate people messing with my truck. I like to know it was done right and nothing was broke in the process. I watched my wifes grand am fall off a lift at sears while the were trying to change her tires. I don't trust any mechanic. And dealers try to rape you blind.
