witch 351 do i have

im not sure what it is. i know its a 351. its in a 77 f250 highboy. (yes a real highboy) how can i tell witch one it is?

Does the upper radiator hose go to the intake=w or the block=m. The m is phisacally larger than the w and there is a different amount of valve cover bolts but I dont remember the numbers. Once you know the difference it is obvios.

351M vs. 351C here...

Post a clear pic of what you have (particularly the very front of the engine). That's the best way to find out.

1977/79 F100/350: As original 351M ~ VIN engine code (4th digit) H / 8 valve cover bolt holes per side.

351C's were only installed in 1970/74 Passenger Cars/Ranchero's.

351W's were not installed until 1981.
