Old video that I stumbled across recently. Can anyone make out if this is in fact a V10 powered truck?

And some of the 7.3s had "PowerStroke V8" emblems on the fenders as well.

All the diesels have a power stroke on the door so it is a gasser. I thought that thing was going to stahl for sure when the water went over the grill.

No they dont. Some of the 99s had it on the fender. Mine did.

Can't tell for sure...But, it would take the confidence of having a V-10 to try such a stupid thing.
Or..maybe just a whole lot of Dumb. Or beer.

I Could not tell if it is a V10, but as for all diesels having the badges on the door, I have seen a bunch of the 7.3's here in New Mexico with Power Stroke emblems on the fenders were my V10 emblems are and nothing on the doors. Any way pulling a trailer through tha amount of water is pretty dang impressive, the bottom must have been pretty solid.

Incorrect. The initial run of '99 Super Duty trucks with the 7.3 had the emblem in the same place on the front fender as the V10 and V8. Here are two trucks that have them.

The truck in the picture does'nt have powerstroke on the door or fender.

It was on the initial '99 PSD trucks. When the '99.5 came out, they made the door emblem. The post above about all diesels having the emblem on the door is incorrect.

This is what the first Super Duty PSD emblems were.....on the fender, not the door:

At one point, just as the truck passes to the left of the video taker, it appears that the fender emblem has a bar across the top, so it's a '99 Powerstroke. It doesn't have the open "V" at the top of the emblem like a V10 emblem would.

Wait, the V10 emblem doesn't either, it has "Triton". The more I look at it, the more it appears it IS a V10 because the top of the emblem doesn't appear to stretch as far across as the Powerstroke logo does.

I agree with Art on this one the top portion looks too short and appears to be a V10. Either way though, that has to take at least a spot in the top 5 of "hold my beer and watch this" for trucks off road.

I've seen that video before, and I believe the problem was, they were on a sandbar that was going under as the tide rose

So, it was either get off, or float away.

With the Superduty's air box snout behind the radiator support, water coming over the hood is not a big deal, as long as the water level itself is lower than the snout
