77 highboy 460 swap questions
I am putting a mid 80's 460 into my 77 highboy. I got the l&l swap motor mounts on the way from bronco graveyard, but i have some questions about accessory bracketry.
The motor i have came from a motor home and had mount brackets for alternator, 2 air pumps, a/c, and a power steering pump with only 1 hose coming out of it. will these brackets work for my highboy? can I use the newer pump, and if so how do i set it up?
does anyone have a picture of the mid 80's smogger 460 bracket setup? I tore this engine down thinking i was just going to use it for the oil pan, bellhousing, etc but i ended up rebuilding it and now I am not quite sure how this crazy bracket contraption goes back together!
also will the power steering bracket from my 351M fit on the 460?

Pulled my ps pump bracket and it looks like it is going to take a little drilling but i think it will mount up. does the 460 sit lower than the 351M or something? I hear all this talk about the alternator and ps pump hitting the crossmember or steering box.
I have a 77 1/2 f250 highboy with a divorced transfer case. I dont really want to get boned by l&l for the brackets if I can just do a little drilling or something.

High Boys stoped in '77. People called them Low Boy after '77.5. It's just a slang term, Ford never called them that, that I know of. If you have a divorced transfer case it's a High Boy. I did this swap but my truck is a '79 Low Boy, so I'm not sure what you will run into but no brackets worked without a lot of fabrication on my truck. You don't have the big power steering box to get around unless someone converted it over so you might get away with just finding a 460 draw style bracket, usually someone is selling one on Ebay. The alt bracket sits real low & would not work on my truck. Maby someone that has done a High Boy will chime in on that fitting ?
