1987 wiring diagram
I have a 1987 F150 300ci I6 4x4. I'm working on some of the gauges and I need a wiring diagram. In specific, I need the diagram of the connector that's right behind the clutch on the cab side of the firewall. This is a round connector. Would anyone happen to have such a diagram?
Thanks......
Thanks......

The back of the dash cluster has two push on connectors.
On the connector on the driver side is a Red/White wire that goes thru the
round bulkhead connector.
That Red/White wire goes to the Engine Temperature sender.
The sender is screwed in to the block right below the number 6 exhaust
manifold tube passenger side of engine.
When the resistance of the sender is 9.7 ohms the gauge needle should be on
H.
When the resistance is 74 ohms the needle should be on C.
For the fuel gauge.
If you have dual fuel tanks.
From the driver side connector at the dash cluster is a Yellow/White wire.
The Yellow/White wire goes to the Fuel Tank Selector switch.
When the switch is set for the front tank the Yellow/White wire is connected to
a Dark Blue/Yellow wire which goes thru the round bulk head connector to the
in tank fuel sender for the front tank.
If the tank selector switch is in the Rear tank position, the Yellow/White wire gets
connected to a Yellow/Light Blue wire which goes thru the round bulk head connector
and goes to the in tank fuel sender for the rear tank.
Resistance from fuel sender.
160 ohms = Full
15 ohms = Empty
