Valve cover gaskets

Where is the cheapest place to get two VC gaskets with pass thru connectors and 4 under valve cover wiring harnesses? This truck im working on has burnt pins for the glow plugs on all of the connectors. I jerry rigged one side by replacing the pins with similar ones but now they have to be zip tied. They were melted pretty bad and one was completely burnt off. Called advance and the VC gaskets are 82 bucks a peice and 60 bucks a peice for the harness.

Napa or other similar part store. I hope this link works. If not the napa number is 6003501 and the Dorman part number is 615-202

I have not heard anything good about the Dorman gaskets and wire harnesses, but I have not had them in my hands, either.

You want cheapest, you'll get what you pay for.
I wonder if the Advanced parts are Dorman or better?

I have a set for spares but I haven't used them. Dorman seems to put out decent parts in my experience and these look to be of standard/OEM quality. And at my cost of $55 for the whole works I can replace them many times over Ford parts before I get concerned.

Which ones have the wire clips to hold them onto the injectors from NAPA? Thats the kind they sold me, don't stay on the injectors for crap! Mine kept coming off so last time I was under there putting in new glow plugs I used real fine/small wire ties to keep em on there tight! Beware, cheap ain't always the best!!

Yeah the ones I linked have wire clips to hold to the injectors. What you describe doesn't sound good! I will check the ones I have when I go down to the shop today or when I go to work tomorrow.

I used the 501 and seems ok so far for china stuff.
I believe some are having failures with the use of
die grease.

So I have to ask myself, why is the Dorman package with the gasket, wires and everything $60 per side, yet the Fel-pro is $70 per side for just the gasket?

The doorman wire packs are crap.
but the gaskets are probably fine.

Clay at riff raff has gaskets for 55 I think is what he said.
I duno if they come with the harness though. I do believe they are NOT dorman.

I personally wouldn't skimp on them. Just my .02.
I wouldn't' want to screw with them again after i get them back together.

I could not get the doorman clips to snap on at all. When I took the wire clips of the stock harness I replaced and put them on the doorman all was good.
