I got my first mod on my new (to me) F150. Had a Ramsey winch mount/grill guard given to me from my uncle who purchased my pops old 06 Lincoln Mark LT. Uncle didn't want it so he gave it to me. Until now, I didn't have anything to put it on. So, I labored (for like an hour or so) to get it on and think it looks great on my truck. Will look 100X better with a winch and some lights on it.

Pics to follow...

Good Morning New Mexico Truckers

Got my coolant leak fixed and have been driving the F150 again. This thing drives so nice and smooth - really enjoy driving as the daily. Going to use it tonight for what it was built for - picking up a China Cabinet for the house. Good thing it has a plastic bed liner in it to keep the cabinet wood in good shape.

Thanks QD... I really like how the mount has come out. I still need a winch for it. But, all things come to those who work their *** off for it. So, it'll be here soon enough.

Guess I forgot to get the pics up. I'll get them a.s.a.p.

Hello Clint,
Albuquerque is 59 degrees with a high of 66 degrees today. Hopefully the weather stays above 32 for you.

Upgrading Exhaust

Hello all,
Thinking about upgrading the exhaust on the truck. Mainly because the tailpipe is all rusted out and is almost gone. I want to put on a cat back exhaust. What do you guys think? A cat back single or the cat back, one muffler, into dual exhaust. I was wanting to go with the flowmaster muffler since I used one on my Z28 Camaro in the past and really liked the sound.

quarkdude I've always used the dual exhaust cat back systems. However, being in a state where emissions isn't tested I would probably get rid of the cat and do dual exhaust from the headers with a cross over pipe. But I haven't really put much thought into what I would do if emissions weren't a factor.

Thanks for the input CelticDevilDog,
I, unfortunately live in Albuquerque - North Valley actually. We have to abide by the emmisions rules here. Rio Rancho is lucky, they don't have to do emmisions. I visited a friend of mine this weekend - Fat Max Custom Exhaust on 4th street and he said he could bend me up some 3 inch pipe and run a Flowmaster 44 single for about $280.00 which sounds awesome to me. That is, from the cat back. I think I'll go that route - I don't plan on taking the engine in the high performance realm, though that is what I like to do I'm going for longevity on this truck - from 80,000 miles to hopefully over 200,000.
