what do you tell your gf or wife when they start nagging you about why you spend more money on your truck then you do on them? i figure theres got to be some experienced guys out there that know what im talking about and how to deal with it, thanks!

 

I've honestly never had that problem. Luckily all my girlfriends have either been into trucks or atleast tolerate my obsession. They all knew what they were getting into long before we started dating.

 

"If you cleaned up as nice as the truck......Hey!! What are you doing with that...."

 

lol yeah, i was kind of hoping for something that might actually help my case, not hurt it

 

That's gonna leave a mark for sure.

My wife always says I could be spending money on worse things.

 

My wife agrees with Chris' wife, I could be doing something else, and she calls "Big Blue" my mistress/the other women!







now it's the girlfriends that are the problem!

 

Nothing! She did not listen the first time I answered her....

 

Yeah, she agrees..............Money could be spent on a lot worse things than trucks.

 

Pay enough attention to your woman and treat her well enough and she won't even notice.

 

Waxing her car together, doing tuneups, oil changes, and cleaning and detailing her car with her might solve some of that resentment.

 

My grandpa and I are big car guys and he has always told me that if I pay as much attention to my girlfriends car as I do to mine then she will never have a problem.

Only problem is, waxing one car is bad enough let alone two!

 

I tell her that by me doing this it leaves money to pay for her new convertible.

She also knows that the extra money I have is going to the truck and not other women. Although I do have to sneak around her to buy things from ebay. My friend bids on them for me and I pay him. Never let her know how much you really spend on your one true love.

 

I'm lucky I don't get much of that nagging thing. (although she has a black belt in silent treatment) But what has worked for me in the past is...telling her to pack a bag for the weekend and showing her how well the truck is running...on the way to a mountain lodge for a gettaway. Usually only costs an extra grand or so to keep things smooth.

I believe they refer to that as the "secret weapon" Only used in the event that all the other stuff doesn't work. Oh...by the way, I've raised 3 daughters (mostly grown now) I own a 10 inch square on the bathroom counter. The rest of the terf is all female.
