New driveshaft info

Yesterday I messed up my driveshaft trying to get a u-joint out. Tomorrow I will be visiting a salvage yard to look for a replacement. Are these balanced by themselves (out of truck) or were they balanced in the vehicle. I am concerned when I put the new one in it wont be balanced for my vehicle. Any tips?

Tyson,

The driveshaft is balanced independent of the rest of the truck....so a straight, non-dented driveshaft with the same length (measure from U-Joint yoke to U-Joint yoke) and same size U-Joint cup size and width should work out for ya.
