Purchased Running Board but does not fit.

I have a 2005 F150 pickup truck with suicide doors and I purchased a pair of a running board at some auction hoping it would fit my truck but it doesn't fit and I am trying to determine which model Ford it belong to.

I know it a Ford running board because there a Ford logo with part number. I went to my local Ford Part Dept and they told me that they couldn't determine the model it belong to by looking at the part stamp number.

So I thought I would post on here to see if there an expert that know how to decode stamped part number and see what Ford model and what year that running board belong to.

Each running board have it own part number

First running board stamped part #
YL34
16B564
ABW

Second running board stamped part#
YL34
16N463
ABW

Both have similar part # except for the middle part #.

Can anyone help me out here and find the year and model those running board belong to?

Thank you
Bill

Do you have an idea what year range it may be?

It might help me narrow my research down some more.

Thank you

The best I could do was find a very similar number for a 1999-2003 Ford F150 250 model. It was on an eBay item, with a part number YL34-14B205-BA. It is a GEM module.

I do not recall if eBay links are allowed.........I'll link below:

1999-2003 FORD F150 F250 4X4 GEM MODULE YL34-14B205-BA:eBay Motors (item 290372887042 end time Jan-20-10 21:01:37 PST)

The numbers are on the running boards bracklet so it not a GEM module.

Thank you for trying to help out.

I think he was only trying to give you a ball park idea of model year.

Do the steps themselves have part numbers on them? That might be better then chasing the part number on the mounting bracket.

I see so part number are similar in model years?

No I already looked all over on the running boards/steps themselves and did not see any part numbers on them unless it covered by the bracket itself.

Not having much luck researching this myself.

Thanks for helping out

Bill
