LH to RH wheel studs
JMan... Thanks for the reply; the rear-end is original to the truck--I know because I'm the original owner. I don't know how many years and which models had the LH threads on the left rear, but I'm pretty sure that all F350 supercabs from 76 through 79 came that way. The reason I'm making the swap is so I can install a set of 16X7 Alcoa wheels--they don't make a LH threaded lug nut, and the OEM nut will not accept Alcoa's lug cover.

LH to RH wheel studs
I work on medium and heavy duty trucks for a living. about 3/4 of the trucks I work on, old and new, have wheel studs like this. it's not a dodge thing. Personally, though, I don't really see what the problem is with them, they don't make changing a tire any harder. I wish I had money to do things that didn't need done, lol.

LH to RH wheel studs
I guess I called it a dodge thing because they even used to do that on their cars and always thought it strange I see it on a lot of larger trucks and fork lifts the same way and I guess I don't understand why. May be someone can explain it.As far as doing something you don't need to do, He says that he wants to use the RH nuts for the alcoa wheels and that they don't make LH nuts so if he wants the Alcoa wheel and studs on then I guess he needs the RH studs.:P
