Data recorders, GPS, Satelitte Reciever, throttle by wire, tire pressure monitoring systems, complete computer control of all vehicle systems and eventually steering by wire. It wouldn't be hard to track everything you do and control your vehicle remotely. If you lock the keys in some vehicles you can have them started and unlocked by someone across the world. Not for me at all....

We had some county commissioners that were caught taking bribes by the FBI having On-star turn on their listening capabilities in the Hummer that they were sitting in for their meeting. I am glad that it worked in that case but I prefer not to have big brother being able to listen in on what I am saying or doing with my trucks and cars. I do like the technologies that are available to make our lives easier but I want to be the only one that can control it not big brother.

I've got news for you, you better get rid of your cell phones to if your that paranoid. The technology is there for remote activation of your mic to listen in any time the battery is in the phone whether it is turned on or not. The GPS technology is also in them and dont believe the cell tower triangulation crap, you can be located to within feet. Just some more food for thought. Remember one thing, what we know that they have isn't even half of what they actually have.

Perfectly good reason to start looking for a good mid 90's truck.

Speeding tickets based on gps readings should be easily beat !

Can't tell u the number of times my gps's speed limit hasn't matched the posted speed limit!

It all depends on the age of your map data.... the maps may be years old & are not automatically updated...

And for many built in gps's, it is expensive to buy maps unless you find a DEAL

usually cheaper to go out and buy a new portable gps

I just unplugged the wire under the seat going to the seatbelt latch.
