flywheel pilot bearing

im changing the clutch in my 96 f 350 7.3 turbo. the machinist who resurfaced the flywheel removed the pilot bearing ( before i could note its orientation) and the new pilot bearing can only go in one way. my question is does the pilot bearing go in from the back of the flywheel (driven in the direction of the transmission) or does it go in from the front (driven in the direction of the motor)? any advice even related the 7.3 clutch change would be greatly appreciated!! thanks...
