Ice On Your Wipers?

If you live and work in snow part of the year then you need to think about adding the SHAKER to your vehicle. I have had them on my fficeffice" />>>
F-350 for the past year and find them to be invaluable. With the push of a button you can SHAKE the ice and snow away from your wipers without leaving your vehicle. Saving you time and money while you are working or on the road. Once you have them you will wonder why you did not do it sooner, so check them out, you won't regret it. They are available through your Ford Parts Dealer. You will need to have patience and persistence with your dealer because some of them won't even know what you are talking about. They are catalogued under "Electronics" as they are small vibrating motors that mount directly to the wiper blade. You should also opt for the button that can mount directly into your dash. I would not be without them and just wanted you all to know that you don't have to live with that ice buildup on your wipers. If you plow snow it will be the best money you have spent on your equipment in quite awhile.

Hmmm... sounds interesting but I'm gonna need some more pics of these things. How much did they cost?

Here's the site for them, unfortunately all the pics are really small. (edit ... downriver thunder beat me to the punch!)

They have some pics of it installed on a 150. looks like a couple cameras bolted to the wipers. Click on product info, installation video and there's a link for pics towards the bottom.

Yeah, just checked out some of the videos. Pretty informative.

Looks like an interesting product. I could've give those a good test over the past few days.

didn't know anything about them,

went to the accessory site and checked it out, looks to be for 08,09 and 10 cars and trucks.

looks to take a wire kit also A8FC17527A

NO MENTION that I can find if they will work on older vehicles.

hmmmmm?

I can sell it for $84.00 plus another $12.60 for the wire kit. then freight so a little over $100

Hey guys they are easy to install yourself and I believe you could put them on any 12 volt vehicle. I tried buying them direct last year but Ford has the rights to them in the US. Baffles me why they have not promoted them more. I would not give them back and use them when ever it gets nasty out there. Already two or three thimes this winter. The trick to installing them is putting the wire through the wiring harness boot in the firewall. They are actually small motors that vibrate when you engage the button. They clamp on to the wiper blade with a set screw. I paid around $100 bucks. just wanted to get the word out so others could enjoy them.

You can also just buy winter wiper blades for the same price as regular wiper blades that have that piece of rubber on the top of the blade to make it hard for ice to stick the the wiper.......

With all due respect but when it gets -20 or more here in the midwest, which happens several times a year, the ice will still stick to the bottom edge of a winter blade as well and create streaks or voids on the windshield. Ask any one that pushes snow constantly, whenever you hit the drift with the blade, the snow blows up onto the windshield and freezes. A real pain. the Shaker knocks it off without sticking your arm out the window or getting out of the truck. A real plus and a real good product and addition for anyone that works or goes in the snow.

I'm not trying to knock the product I am sure it works fine. I live in MN, trust me, I now what it is like to drive in the cold and snow.
