WHAT YEARS FIT A C6 TRANS?

All above is excellent advice. Havi makes an excellent point about making sure the trans meets your needs for floor shift or column shift. It's a bit of a hassle to change that.
The 351M was used from 1975 to 1983 in both cars and trucks, so there is that. But the same large bell C6 trans was used behind 400's, 429's and 460's as well, from the late 60's/early 70's until the late 90's. Since they made them for nearly 30 years, the year is less important than the correct application.

Hey guys not trying to hijack but just wanted to tell you I went with a crossmember from F100 central since Mid fifty was a little unclear about different years regarding the cleveland engine and such. the one I got looks like the mounts should bolt up with no problem. i did order my trans xmember from mid though. Hopefully I will be setting my engine and trans in before too many more weeks go by.
