Repair a broken tire chain

I broke one of the tire chains on my snow blower and I was able to temporarily fix it with some heavy duty lastic zip ties, but they broke after a short time.

Home Depot and Ace Hardware sell stainless steel links. I think you can get the pound together versions at ACE too.

You could also take a 5/32nd or 1/4" welding rod, knock off the coating, cut it about 3" long and bend both ends inward (toward each other), insert it into the broken chain and crimp the ends closed.
