What type of exaust system sounds better on a 96 inline 6

My inline six sound ok if you like quiet trucks. But I want to make it louder but I dont know what kind of exaust system would help to make it louder with it being a inline 6.

Pretty much it doesn't matter what you run for exhaust on a straight six. They are all gonna sound like a tractor. If you just want it louder put on a glasspack.

My buddy has an inline 6 and i have worked hard to find a good exhaust for it. We tried dual glasspacks and it was loud but sounded like a tricked out honda civic. Then we tried a flomaster 40 and it was way to muffled and quiet. Then we put a set of split headers on it from Summit, and this made it one of the loudest engines i had heard in a while. Now it has dual straight pipes comming off the headers and it sounds pretty slick. Hope this helps

Glasspacks!

Here's my I6 with a flowmaster. It would sound better if it had a glasspack.

Hope this helps!

my suggestions would be to use 3" piping and don't do a dual setup. the 300 is a tq engine and TQ only, not really any point in putting a dual exhaust on that helps top end horsepower for an engine that doesnt make that. i have a super 44 with 3" piping with a turndown after the rear axle. its not the loudest but it's noticable
