460 Headers for 77 F-250 4X4
I have a 77 F-250 4X4 with a 400M and am going to swap to a 460. I have done this before in another truck and used L&L products fenderwell Headers and motor mounts. The problem is that the mounts are priced OK but the headers are about $500. They are a very good set of headers but a little spendy for this project. Does anyone here know of any other companies that make headers for this swap. They need to be fenderwell headers as I want the extra room inside of the frame. I thought that Hooker used to make a set but haven't been able to find any info on them.
Thanks ahead of time for the info.

the best thing for you as far as cost and simplicity is to go to a muffler mantion. become real good buddies with the garage gurue, and ask him to get a piece of sheetmetal and cut it to fit your heads, drill holes for mounting, cut holes for exhaust, and weld pipes to the sheetmetal, run the pipes to a collector, and hook em up to exhaust. it may sound complicated and pricy, but i guarentee it can be a rather simple procedure, given simple cutting, welding, and pipe bending tools... and done under 200 bucks anyway. so what if they dont have a name brand stamped on the side of them.. mine work very well on my HEMI cuda... (actually the hemi was replaced with a 440 a long time before i got the car.)

I put a 460 in my 79 Bronco. I didn't want to pay that kind of money to L&L either. There is a place in Washington State that was listed in the back of 4 Wheel & Off Road by the name of Stan's Headers. I bought a set of tri-y, industrial chrome headers for about $285.00. You can give thta a try
